FAQs

What is an executive coach?

Traditionally, the title “Executive Coach” leans toward coaching corporate executives and establishes steps towards their business goals. But you don’t need to be an executive to work with an Executive Coach. The word “executive” is defined as “the power to put plans, actions, or laws into effect.” Anyone who is high performing and highly motivated has the power to make these decisions in their life no matter what your professional title is.

Executive Coaches act as an advisor, sounding board, manager, strategist, and guide. Their role also involves helping you increase self-awareness, expand your thinking, and uncover your potential.

what are the benefits of a coach?

There are many benefits of having a coach. Here are a few:

Become an Authentic Leader
When you work with a good coach, they will be able to observe how you present yourself to others, and help you reflect on how you want to present yourself. A skilled coach will give you the tools to help you see yourself more clearly and how you want to be seen. They can challenge your limiting beliefs or help you see patterns that serve you or don’t serve you. Ultimately, these tools coaches give cultivates increased self-awareness. You start to understand more about who you are and what is important to you. You’ll learn the difference of what you think people want from you to leading with your values and integrity. The more honest you are with yourself, the more honest you show up in the world and stand in your truth. As you continue to “walk your walk,” you will overcome imposter syndrome and find confidence.

Leverage Your Existing Strengths
A coach can help you see what you’re good at or what you might be underestimating about yourself. Several techniques or exercises are used to determine those strengths and find news ways to use them more and in meaningful ways.

Learn New Ways to Respond
A coach can help identify road blocks and help reframe a situation and find alternative solutions. Reframing can help you get “unstuck,” or build more productive relationships, or debunk limiting beliefs. When you begin to view a problem in multiple ways, you start to see more possibilities.

Achieve Your Specific Goals
A coach can help break down larger than life goals into bite-size steps that are achievable and set you up for success towards your larger goal. They can also be an impactful support system in your journey to help you stay accountable, give honest feedback, and remind you what is important to you. They can also teach you new ways of thinking and operating, open you to new skill sets and stretch your potential so you can achieve what you set out for.

HOW IS SUCCESS MEASURED?

The definition of success is different for everyone and defined on a per-client basis. During single sessions, goal-setting is established. We will then work towards what you want to take away from the session.

For long-term coaching packages we will establish a larger vision, and set some milestone markers and/or deadlines. These will then be broken down into smaller short-term goals with tactics and actionable steps to set you up for success in achieving your larger goal.

what kind of session should i book?

If you are interested in working with me and we’ve never met, book a Coffee Talk so we can get to know each other and understand what you would like to get from a coach and a coaching session. In general, a Coffee Talk session gives both of us feedback on if we have chemistry and if I can provide the things you are looking for in a coach.

If we click, go ahead and book a 1:1 Coaching Session. From there, we can determine the appropriate goals and roadmap for you.

how do i prep for OUR FIRST 1:1 session?

When you schedule a 1:1 Coaching Session you will be prompted to share anything that you think will be useful for when we meet. A confirmation email and calendar invite will be sent to you with a Zoom link to use for our scheduled meeting. Leading up to the session, reflect on the following:

  • What areas would you like to improve on?

  • What are you current biggest challenges?

how do i know if i’m ready to work with a coach?

Do you want to tap into your highest potential, or grow in specific areas but don’t know how or want to find new ways in approaching a problem? Then you are ready to work with a coach!
